Making changes to a web page
Step 1.
After you have created a page with hnEditor you can always make
Changes whenever you wish to do so.
Click on the
button at the bottom of the editor.

Step 2.
A new window will open.
Navigate to the folder where you put the web page in that you
would now like to edit.
In this example we have two file in the /htdocs/hnEditor/test folder.
If I wanted to edit the rrrtest.php file all I would need to do is click in the radio button,
and then click on the “Submit” button.
/www/s/somewhere/htdocs/hnEditor/test

Step 3.
hnEditor will then go out and get the file that you chose and load it into the editor for you to make
modifications to the page.

Step 4.
After I have made all my changes that I am interested in I
can then click on the ![]()
I will then be sent to the preview page.
Notice that there is an additional save button now at the bottom of the page.
Save File: If
you click on the
the
editor know the name of the file you got from
when you loaded it into the Editor for making
changes.
If you want to
keep the name as it is click on “Save File”.
You will then be sent to Step 6.
Note: you will not have to go thru the extra step of saving it to the folder, or naming it,
or what type of file you wish to save it as. Since it already know this.
Save File As: If you click on the
button
you will go through the normal
Process of saving in a directory, Name of the file, what type of file
ect. You would
choose this
option if you were wanting to create a similar page that you had already
created but wanted to name it something else. Therefore lets say you loaded into
the editor a file called mypage.php.
If you choose the “Save File As” button, you
can save it as
mypage2.php. Now you have two different
pages that look the same.
This is a good way to create a backup of a web page that you may be doing drastic.
Changes to and would like to make a copy of it before you worked on it. That way
If something was to go wrong with your page, at least you would have a copy to
Go back to.

Step 5.
From this point on you can reference the Editing a web page documentation.
